Downtown Detroit Partnership Statement on Approval of Detroit’s Plan of Adjustment

Downtown Detroit has experienced an unprecedented amount of investment in the recent years, and a financially stable city government can only catalyze and drive further success. The Downtown Detroit Partnership applauds the efforts made by Governor Snyder, Mayor Duggan, and Kevyn Orr to move through the bankruptcy process swiftly, while keeping the betterment of our city and its residents at the forefront of their decision-making. We also appreciate the efforts of many of those serving on our Board of Directors who have played a leadership role in Detroit’s restructuring and revitalization during this pivotal moment in Detroit’s history. We look forward to continuing our work with the City of Detroit to build a resilient and sustainable future for Downtown Detroit. The culmination of all these efforts restores the critical confidence Detroit and our citizens deserve.
